Hear music by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist David Garland, who presents music from his latest work - a 4-CD set called Verdancy. The music is a celebration of nature, time, and expanded sense of time and is filled with woody, earthy clarinet, organ pipes, bowed psaltery, percussion, and a 12-string modified guitar, which Garland plays live to demonstrate how its sound through a specially-altered amp can envelop a listener and evolve.
The record features many special guests, including Czech violinist/vocalist Iva Bittova, and instrument inventor/composer Arone Dyer (Buke and Gase), who also leads the Drone Choir. There is text in English by Yoko Ono, in Czech from Iva Bittova, text in Italian from Monteverdi, and intentionally imprecise Latin text by David Garland.
